Sangama is a developmental organization.  We are focused on overall well being of economically disadvantaged and vulnerable communities: transgender persons, sexual minorities and sex workers in Karnataka and slum dwellers in Bengaluru City.

Mobilising economically disadvantaged and vulnerable communities - transgender persons, sexual minorities, sex workers and urban poor for their development.

Healthy People

Conducting health camps. Providing general and mental health services in a welcoming and stigma free environment. Providing preventive and curative health services. Staffed with doctor (part-time), nurse, lab technician, counsellor and community health workers.

Happy Children

Educational scholarships for children of sex workers. Working with anganwadis and government schools towards providing quality nutrition and education to children

Decent Livelihoods

Helping transgender persons and sexual minorities to start their own business. Hand-holding and emotional support as these are first generation entrepreneurs. Piloting individual and group livelihood projects.

About Sangama

Sangama works to bring gender identity, sexual orientation, sex work and urban poverty into the realm of public debate and link in it to the discourse on development , human rights and socio economic justice

Sangama was founded in 1999 and is registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960 on 22 June 2001 in Bangalore. Sangama has Income tax exemptions like 12A, 80G, FCRA certificate and CSR certificate
